Under the watchful eye of the WILDCON crew and wildlife vet, you are safely and professionally guided & encouraged to assist ‘hands-on’ with the vital tasks that are crucial to the success of the conservation experience...
These tasks can include;

  • Locating the specific animal/s from the helicopter that need to be worked on - if used
  • Assisting in manoeuvring the animal/s into a safer position to work on them
  • Monitoring the specific animal/s vital signs
  • Fitting tracking collars
  • Drilling and inserting horn implants / microchips etc.
  • Applying of medication (antibiotics / eye ointment etc.)
  • Cutting of small ear notches for ID purposes
  • Recording important measurements (horn / tusk / teeth / shoulder height / body length etc.)
  • Injecting of reversal drugs etc.

  • All our conservation experiences are funded by the packages that our clients purchase from us... This conforms to our strict Company Policy.

These funded conservation costs can include;

  • All relevant professional helicopter transfer & ferry flying time associated with the conservation experience – if used
  • All professional wildlife veterinarian fees, travel costs & anaesthetics used associated with the conservation experience
  • All applicable wildlife tracking collars / implants / similar devices fitted for monitoring, research or anti-poaching purposes – if used
  • All relevant group tourism levies / reserve entry fees / additional conservation fees etc. applicable for the specific destination
  • All additional donations made on behalf of the client to specific Research Institutions or NGO's

By funding these costs through our packages (clients), it greatly supports the relevant game reserves / research organizations with the financial burden of these necessary conservation costs.
